Couple Separates Following Tragic Death Of Two Childrens
A Lusaka couple has reportedly separated following the tragic deaths of their two young children, who allegedly drowned in an incident involving their stepmother earlier this year.
A couple from Meanwood Kwamwena in Lusaka has reportedly gone their separate ways following the tragic loss of their two children in a case that shocked the nation.
Twenty-six-year-old Fanny Kanyinji says she and her husband, Titus Kamanga, are currently living apart as they continue to cope with the emotional impact of the tragedy.
Ms. Kanyinji stated that she is still mourning the loss of her children and continues to struggle with the pain caused by the incident.
The couple has appealed to law enforcement agencies to expedite the prosecution of the suspect, 26-year-old Mary Kachilika, who remains in police custody awaiting court proceedings.
According to previous reports, on February 24, 2026, Kachilika allegedly caused the deaths of two children aged six and two years old at Ngwerere Stream.
Authorities have indicated that the body of the younger child was recovered, while efforts to locate the second child have so far not yielded results.
The case remains before the courts as investigations and legal proceedings continue.
Family members say they hope justice will be served as they continue to mourn the devastating loss of the two children.
