Why Me Admits Guilt In Hate Speech Case
TikToker Francis Kapwepwe, popularly known as “Why Me,” has admitted guilt to two counts of hate speech before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.
TikToker Francis Kapwepwe, widely known online as “Why Me,” has changed his plea and admitted guilt to two counts of hate speech before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.
Kapwepwe informed the court that he had no lawful justification for making offensive remarks directed at the Presidency and members of the Tonga-speaking community in Southern Province.
The case has since been adjourned and remains before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for further proceedings and sentencing considerations.
Authorities continue to warn members of the public against using social media platforms to spread hate speech or content capable of promoting division among citizens.
