James Ndambo Denies Presidential Ambitions: “Leave Me Out of Zambian Politics”

South African businessman James Ndambo has dismissed growing speculation that he plans to contest the Zambian presidency under the Patriotic Front (PF) ticket.

In a brief statement, Ndambo said he has no political ambitions in Zambia and urged the public to “leave him out of Zambian politics.”

The clarification comes amid widespread rumors suggesting that the philanthropist was being considered as a potential PF presidential candidate ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Ndambo, who was born in Zambia, later renounced his Zambian citizenship and became a South African citizen — a move that legally disqualifies him from running for public office in Zambia.
