WE MUST CONDEMN THE UNRULY INCIDENT IN CHINGOLA!!!

RESPECT THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.

We strongly condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the recent unruly behaviour witnessed on the Copperbelt, where a group of misguided youths disrupted President Hakainde Hichilema’s interaction with marketeers from Chiwempala Market — men and women who had just suffered the painful loss of their goods in a devastating fire.

What transpired in Chingola was not just a political miscalculation; it was a reckless and dangerous act that could have easily put the life of the Head of State at risk.

It is both disturbing and shameful that some individuals can find joy or justification in a situation that poses a threat to the life of our Republican President.

Let us be reminded that President Hakainde Hichilema is not just an individual — he represents the Office of the Presidency, an institution that carries the dignity, unity, and peace of our great Republic.

You may disagree with him politically, you may not like him personally, but you must respect the office he occupies. That is what separates responsible citizens from reckless ones.

Every Zambian has a duty to safeguard the dignity and safety of the President. The security of the Head of State must never be compromised — not for politics, not for clout, not for cheap popularity.

Those behind this shameful act must face the full wrath of the law, and heads must roll where negligence or misinformation is established.

And let this serve as an important reminder — the President’s kindness should never be mistaken for weakness. His patience, humility, and tolerance are deliberate acts of leadership, not signs of fear. The day he will choose to respond, let no one cry foul because every leader has a limit, and every action has consequences.

To our party structures and all well-meaning citizens, let us rally behind the President and continue promoting peace, unity, and discipline. Let us reject violence, disrespect, and lawlessness, for these do not build nations — they destroy them.

Zambia is bigger than any individual. Let us protect the peace we enjoy and preserve the dignity of the Presidency.
